Scar Revision
After a wound has healed, a scar may remain. Poor healing may contribute to unsightly, disfiguring scars, but even wounds that heal well can result in a scar that affects your appearance. Scars differ in color, texture, size and shape. Depending upon the type and degree of the scar, surgical revision may be necessary. Scar revision surgery is used to minimize the scar so that it looks more like the surrounding tissue. Although this procedure can provide a more pleasing result, a scar cannot usually be completely erased.
